Choose your article outline

The outline step is your final opportunity to structure and personalize your content before AI generation. Based on your content brief and chosen title, Blym creates a comprehensive article outline that serves as the blueprint for your future article.

Understanding the outline structure

The AI-generated outline represents exactly how your article will be organized. Each H2 is associated with H3 subsections that will form the detailed content of your article.

This structure ensures your content flows logically and covers all essential topics for your subject matter.

The anatomy of an heading

Each heading contains interactive elements for complete control:

• Drag handle - Reposition headings by dragging and dropping
  
  
• HTML tag - The SEO hierarchy. You can click on the Heading to update it
  
  

• Title text - The heading text. You can click on to edit heading wording and keywords
  
  
• Instructions field - Add your expertise and guidance for the AI. The more instructions you give across the outline, the better the quality of the content. Under headings, you can add specific guidance for the AI:
  
• • Unique insights from your business experience
  • Specific examples from your industry
  • Expert tips that only you would know
  • Data or statistics from your business
    
    
    
• Three dots menu (⋯) - Additional actions (add above/below, change level, remove)

Customizing your outline

Add more headings

You can expand your outline structure in two ways:

• Hover method - Hover over any existing heading to reveal options for adding new headings above or below that section

• Three dots menu - Click the three dots (⋯) next to any heading and select "Add heading above" or "Add heading below"
  
  
  

Remove headings

To delete unwanted sections from your outline:

• Click the three dots menu (⋯) next to the heading you want to remove
• Select "Remove heading" from the dropdown options
• The heading and any associated instructions will be permanently deleted
  
  
  

When you're done, click on Generate content and the AI will write the content for you.

Competitor analysis

Reviewing top-ranking content

Thanks to the right sidebar, examine who currently ranks for your target keywords. This helps you understand what's working in your industry for the keyword/topic you want to rank for.

Reviewing competitor outlines

Step 1: When you identify a competitor you want to analyze further, click "View all" to expand and see their complete article outline structure.

Step 2: Click on any specific heading within a competitor's outline to copy it. You can then paste this heading directly into your own outline
